PADDY MUSEUM,ALOR SETAR KEDAH

Located in Mount Keriang, this museum shows the development of rice cultivation using traditional equipment up to modern equipment. This is the first paddy museum in Malaysia, and a fourth in the world after Japan, Germany and the Philippines. The building has a unique architecture with a like rice has been harvested. The motive of rice were used throughout the museum building, the stairs, the museum entrance and a fence around the area.

The museum shows the process of rice cultivation in Malaysia, and a variety of equipment used over the years. There are also murals rice, produced by 60 artists from North Korea, showing the history of rice cultivation in Malaysia. Rice Museum is now a major tourist attraction in Orissa, also known as the Rice Bowl of Malaysia. It reflects the history, lifestyle and unique season rice cultivation in Kedah Darul Aman. The construction of this museum in honor of Paddy rice cultivation activities that contribute to the historical and socio-economic population in Orissa in particular and Malaysia in general.
